Next Up is Kestrel's theatre generation department. It is currently working with Teflonstage, a not-for-profit theatre company. Next Up generates and produces for the stage, radio, television and film. Productions include both original commercial work and not-for-profit educational performances.

'Lili'
Musical theatre by Oscar Fovarge. The astonishing story of 'Lili Marlene'.

At times moving, uplifting and funny, this Musical Review weaves a fascinating story around songs such as A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square, Falling In Love Again, Wunderbar, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and, of course, Lili Marlene. Featuring the artists and great songs of the Thirties and Forties:The Andrews Sisters, Vera Lynn, Anne Shelton, Marlene Dietrich, Lale Andersen and Zarah Leander. Dir: Jamie Lee

'One in Five'
Poetry, prose and humorous sketches highlighting aspects of British culture for international students to the UK. 'One in Five' features the work of Matt Harvey, Wislawa Szymborska, Jackie Kay, Oscar Fovarge, Mike Phillips, Xiaolu Guo, Paul Curtis, Jeanette Winterson, Marian Spires and Adrian Mitchell.

'One in Five' is available to universities, colleges and schools as part of induction, cultural or language programmes for international students. The show is accompanied by pre- and post-attendance materials for students, and workshops for international officers and EFL/ESOL teachers. (Running time approx 45 mins, plus workshops tailored to needs.)
